Our photos, albums, and home movies are a record of our lives with our loved ones, however, the typical household has them in a few overstuffed albums and piled into storage boxes.
I can help you organize and archive your printed photos and digital photos, turn some into albums and coffee table books, copy your slides and movies onto CD and DVD, and help you tell your story so that you and generations to come can enjoy and share your memories.
Those boxes and bins of photos may be out of sight on a shelf somewhere, but they're not out of mind. Many people feel overwhelmed and guilty about this project they don't feel able to face, yet care deeply about.
Together we can do this. I recommend sorting the photos with me into categories like: family members, vacations, celebrations, holidays, and so forth, rather than chronologically. Once sorted, we put them in a photo safe box with dividers and think of them as your photo library or archive.
From this archive, projects can be created. For instance, one can make an album about a child's school or athletic career. Just go to the archive for that child and pick out the appropriate pictures from that part of their lives.
When they are separated by theme, it's easy to tell which pictures are earlier and which are later.
Digital photos do not take up much space in our houses, but they can be cluttered all over our computers. A similar sorting process can bring them all to one spot in good order so they are easy to access for whatever projects you may desire to create.
